Welcome!

My earliest training was in grade school with Mr. Joseph Fitzpatrick and Tam- 'O Shanter Saturday morning art classes that were held at the Carnegie Museum in Oakland. I remember sitting there in the balcony overlooking the stage where Mr. Fitzpatrick was drawing on a huge board. A tin box of 8 fat crayon colors , a sheet of white paper, and a flat board lay on my lap. I was mesmerized the moment he scribbled beautiful pictures onto the blank paper, and at the end of class looked down at my blank white sheet of paper and then everyone else's. They had drawn all over theirs. Franticly I scribbled what I thought was the assignment and got up to leave. I knew back then that I loved art. You can get lost in it, and it can take you to that happy place while creating it.
